The Fall 2014 semester of the Globalization Program begins on Monday, 8 September 2014.
Over 120 students from Europe, America and Asia will attend courses taught by distinguished professors from VIU's member universities. Students will choose from a range of courses on Italy, Cultures of the World, Global Challenges and Economics, Management and Digital Technologies applied to Cultural Heritage (specialization track of the fall term).
The Program, developed in the truly multicultural, international and interdisciplinary VIU environment, provides a powerful learning experience in which students cultivate their capacity for critical thinking and problem solving. They will be thus better prepared to face the present global challenges.
The program starts on September 8 and ends with the exam week on December 19. Academic calendar
Orientation week: September 8-12. Not-to-miss moments for students:
- Monday, September 8: Welcome Coffee, VIU Facilities Tour, Introduction to the Globalization Program and Courses Presentation
- Tuesday, September 9: Residency permit meeting with Non-EU Students and ACTV Transportation Card
- Friday, September 12: Italian for Foreigners Placement Test and Opening Ceremony
- Every day (September 8-12, room 2G) there will be a couple of hours of Tutoring Desk, a Q&A with VIU staff on study plans, registration problems, courses, accommodation on/off campus, credit recognition.

Registration for courses will close on Thursday, September 11 at 5.00 pm Italian time. Final registration status and admission petitions will follow.
