During the summer months at VIU, there are perhaps fewer students on the island campus of San Servolo, but nevertheless, within the walls of the conference halls and seminar rooms, VIU continues to be a hub of activity.
VIU's campus lends itself especially well during this period to intensive residential programs, with the calmness of the parkland on the island, and the noiselessness of the lagoon beyond; San Servolo is connected, yet detached from the bustling city of Venice, which is of course an attractive destination for attendees.
