Over 100 students from all over the world will take courses on Venice and Italy, Cultures of the World and Global Challenges in the 15-week program.

The specialization track on Environmental Management and Sustainable Development gives students with a background in the Social Sciences the opportunity to acquire skills that will be useful in developing careers in this field, training among others in economics, the sustainable management of cities and natural resources, art and architecture in Venice and world heritage sites. There will also be other excellent opportunities for students interested in the relationship and comparison between Asian and European cultures, but also intercultural exchange, and gender studies.

The courses are interdisciplinary and are structured as seminars so as to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience among students from different academic and cultural backgrounds.

All students registered in degree programs at one of VIU's Member Universities are eligible to apply for the Globalization Program.
Courses are recognized for credit by the students' home universities.
All students must pre-register via the VIU website after having submitted their application to the study abroad office of their home universities. Students from Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Università Iuav di Venezia, Università degli Studi di Padova and Università di Roma “Tor Vergata” can pre-register directly on VIU website.
