MyPortal was an e-government project leaded by the Veneto Region within the Program Framework 2004-2006 palnned among Veneto Region, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry for Innovation and Technologies.
Internet and ICT represented a new means of communication allowing citizens, organizations and companies to relate with their Local Administrations, in order to improve the dialogue with local institutions and augment the competitiveness of their territories.

The project started with the adoption of MyPortal web service in Feltre Mountain Community and Belluno Province, that included 8 Mountain Communities. Other four Mountain Comunities joined the project in a second step:

. Valle del Boite
Venice International University won a call for tender of the Veneto Region to carry on some tasks of the project of MyPortal diffusion in the Mountain Communities of the Belluno Province.
The VIU role in MyPortal project was the management of the research tasks regarding three different aspects of the project:

VIU supported Veneto Region in the definition of a model for the reusability of MyPortal in others Local Administration of the Region, identifying some guide lines for the implementation and management of MyPortal from a technological point of view, for the promotion in the local context and finally for the analysis of users' satisfaction on MyPortal.
The project was cofinanced by the Veneto Region and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
