VIU students have the opportunity to participate in the International Summer Program in Management, China Segment (ISPM-CH Segment) organized by the University of Padua.
The two-week intensive summer course focuses on "Intercultural Management: theory and practice" and will take place at Guangzhou University, Canton region, China from June 25 to July 6, 2018 (dates may vary slightly).
The course is awarded 6 ECTS.
The summer course, which is taught in English, is open to VIU students enrolled who are taking at least two courses at VIU (12 ECTS) during the Spring 2018 semester.
The candidates must be graduate students (registered for Master's degree at their home universities) in the following disciplines:
- Economics and/or Management
- Politics
- International relations or International Law
- Urban Planning and Development
Some students will be awarded scholarships to contribute to their travel costs. Lodging expenses will be covered by the host institutions, Guangzhou University.
Basic knowledge of Chinese language, equivalent to level A1 in the European Framework, is a requirement for participation. Candidates who have no knowledge of Chinese, can take a Chinese language course at the University of Padua. A final exam is scheduled at the end of the course. Only students who successfully pass the exam will be admitted to the summer school.
