The following information is relevant for students of the Globalization Program.
For information about accommodation arrangements for all other VIU Academic Programs or activities, please refer to the program coordinator directly.
The residential halls on the San Servolo Campus are managed by a services company San Servolo Servizi Metropolitani.
Students who will attend a semester of VIU Globalization Program can apply for support in finding an accommodation through VIU channels.
Places are limited and assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. We will try to satisfy all requests but we cannot guarantee that all students will be assigned a place.
There are two accommodation options:
- Dorms on San Servolo island campus
- A place in apartments in Venice city
Requirements
Students who have been assigned an accommodation through VIU channels, in the residential halls on the island of San Servolo or in apartment, are required to take and complete at least three courses.
Applications
Applications open twice a year, together with the semester pre-registration opening (see Registration calendar), students can register through an online form on VIU website.
Deadline to apply for accommodation
- Fall semesters: June 5
- Spring semesters: November 30
After the deadline, VIU pre-reserves accommodation for students who have confirmed their preference by signing the accommodation agreement. Each place is considered confirmed only after receipt of payment.
VIU will take care of all practical procedures concerning campus confirmation, apartment research and lease contracts.

2nd Semester of the AY 2024-25:
check-in February 16, 2025
check-out June 1, 2025
1st Semester of the AY 2025-26:
check-in September 7, 2025
