Since 2014, Waseda University runs a four-week summer session for undergraduates. In 2017 highly motivated international students from 70 universities in 13 different countries participated.
The session is open to international students as well as Waseda students. Participants will choose 2 courses from 14 offered in disciplines such as literature and art, business, culture, economics, history, politics and sociology, in the context of Japan and the Asia Pacific, and can earn 4 credits. The classes are taught in English by experienced faculty members from Waseda and visiting professors from the top global universities. Japanese language classes can be taken as an optional course.
Extracurricular activities such as field trips, site visits and cultural events to experience Tokyo and Japan will be organized.
