Shylock University Theater Center of Venice, announces the international contest of communication and creativity “CLIMATE CHANGE – The grand challenge” 2018 – Climate CHANCE.
Deadline for submission: October 15, 2018.
Award ceremony: November 30, 2018.
The competition is organized in cooperation with Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Europe Direct in Venice and aims to support the production and submission of published and unpublished works that highlight propositional methods and opportunities for interaction with the environment and the effects induced by climate change.
The focus of this year edition will be on adaptation and mitigation strategies and the actions needed to urgently pursue the aims set by the international community. This focus will be expressed by works such as:
- works based on real stories of people and populations involved in the effects of climate change;
- works on the life of ecosystems or regions particularly hit by the combination of climatic factors and environmental pollution;
- music production and projects which can be used to communicate climate change;
- social accounts, texts, sentences edited on line etc. by opinion leaders, V.I.P., influencers involved in climate action, climate change communication and other environmental subjects.
The competition is open to authors (individual authors, collectives and formal corporations) of any nationality who have reached 15 years of age at the competition end date (15 October 2018).
The works must be sent by e-mail to concorso@cut.it within the midnight of October 15, 2018.
