There are two university restaurants in Venice: one on the Giudecca and one near Campo Santa Margherita, in Rio Novo.
Access to the university restaurants is reserved for students of the local universities, including VIU, using the dedicated app ESU VENEZIA BADGE APP.
A takeaway service is also available booking the meal through the app.

How to use the ESU VENEZIA BADGE APP

Overview of the procedure + additional step for VIU students
1st step | Create a personal account on the SOL portal (select "Register - create new user"). You will have to upload an ID and photo.
2nd step | Return to SOL Portal interface and select "Accedi con le credenziali ESU" and fill out the Canteen Request form and request the QR code.
3rd step | Send an email to ristorazione@esuvenezia.it to confirm that you have filled out the form and specify how long you would like to be registered for ESU meal services (i.e. how long will you stay in Venice). The subject of the email must be "Request to access ESU meal service by VIU student"
4th step | You will get confirmation that your request has been received by email. Within 24 hours from the confirmation email you will be able to visualize your QR code in your personal area of the SOL portal (generatore qr code section).
Italian students can access the app using their SPID credentials or their CIE.
Access to the university restaurants is managed by ESU Venezia - the agency of the Veneto Region for students' services and rights.
ESU manages services include housing and counselling, and disbursement of Regional scholarships for students of the Venetian Universities: Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, Università Iuav di Venezia, Accademia delle Belle Arti and Conservatorio di Venezia.
VIU has signed an agreement with ESU in order to extend access to university restaurants to VIU students.
