On 26 September the first edition of the Italian Business & SDGs Annual Forum has been held in Venice at VIU - Venice International University (Island of San Servolo).
The Forum was promoted by the Global Compact Network Italy Foundation with the collaboration of VIU and the support of FriulAdria and Edison SpA.
The meeting has been devised to be an important opportunity for a multi-stakeholder discussion on the role that the private sector is called upon to play in support of the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030.
The focus on this topic was intensified through the identifying and sharing of: experience and knowledge, points of interest, discussion topics, further study requirements, and design guidelines. Based on the outcomes of the initiative, the GCNI Foundation defined a plan of activities in support of firms that are willing to get involved by making their own contribution to achieving the SDGs.
