In July 2018 the VIU International PhD Academy, welcomed 16 PhD candidates from member universities who participated in an interdisciplinary program of activities aimed at facilitating discussion and exchange of ideas related to Sustainable Energy.
The universities contributing to the scientific coordination of the Academy were:
Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique; Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata"; Boston College; Université de Bordeaux.
The opportunity to discuss their research with students and professors working on related topics, in an international and interdisciplinary context was highly valued by the participants.
Students also benefited from training in transversal skills, including Communications for Impact, Science and Money (Project Management + Grant writing) and Networking, in addition to presenting their own research in poster sessions.
