This year's VIU Plenary Workshop will take place on Friday, November 25th, 2022. On this occasion, we are launching a call to all VIU students to express themselves creatively.
We would like to give all students the opportunity to get personally involved (individually or in groups) and share your ideas about this year's topic: Identity. Your contribution to the workshop is independent of those of your respective courses, but will be credited in the same way.
We have compiled a few examples to inspire your contributions here:
- Musical performances (singing, dancing, etc.)
- Poetry or slam poetry
- Exhibiting works of art (videos, photographs, paintings, etc.)
- Individual presentations (e.g. TedTalk, personal stories of identity)
- Theater skits
The sky's the limit!
It should also be noted that your contribution does not necessarily have to be in English! In the past there have been presentations in Italian, Russian, Chinese, etc.. The workshop lives from your diversity and all facets of your identity. :)
If you are interested in participating individually in the workshop we would be happy to hear from you by November 11th! We are excited to support you in implementing your ideas or provide you with material to present if you’d like to volunteer but are not sure how.
