Global Fair (open to all)

Sala Basaglia, ground floor
This social and networking event will allow you to get to know different Venetian associations that offer leisure and sport options in the city. At the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce yourselves and the traditions of your own culture to your new classmates and professors. You can bring food and beverages, musical instruments, traditional dresses, games and anything you would like to share within our "small" international community.
You are invited to create groups together with your peers, and each will be assigned a "national desk" to represent its culture and traditions. You can submit your requests of participation or technical support registering at the Front Office (2A) by Monday, September 30 at 3 pm.
Dragon Boat training

Third session of the VIU Dragon Boat training. The session will take place as usual during lunchtime (12.30 to 1.30 pm).

Night visit to St. Mark's Basilica (open to all)
Wednesday, October 2, 7.30 pm
The visit is open to all VIU students and faculty, up to 50 people. For students and professors interested in joining, the ticket fee is 10€ to be paid at the moment of registration (exact fee in cash) by Tuesday, October 1 at 12 pm.

Guided tour to Biennale Giardini and Purchase of Biennale Pass (F2420)

This co-curricular activity is an integral part of the course F2420 The Venice Biennale between the Legacy of its History and Artist Memory Practice and is therefore strongly recommended and sponsored by VIU for enrolled students. The Biennale Pass ticket (valid for access to each of the two Exhibition venues for three non consecutive days) will be sponsored by VIU for all the students enrolled. However, note that enrolled students must confirm their participation by signing up on the list by Wednesday, October 2, 12pm, at the Front Office.
Non-enrolled students and professors can purchase the pass to visit the Biennale on their own. The cost of the pass is 20€, to be paid at the moment of registration by Wednesday, October 2 at 12 pm at the Front Office. Some places can be available for the future guided visits, students and professors are invited to apply listing their names at the Front Office.
Participants will receive further information and the ticket the day before the visit.
Field trip to Padova (F2404)
Friday, October 4, 2.30 pm
This co-curricular activity is an integral part of the course F2404 Art and Architecture in Renaissance Venice and is therefore strongly recommended and sponsored by VIU for enrolled students. However, note that enrolled students must confirm their participation by signing up on the list by Wednesday, October 2, 12 pm, at the Front Office.
Participants need to purchase the train ticket on their own. VIU will reimburse the cost of the regional train ticket (10€) for students enrolled after the trip, upon presentation of the ticket at the Front Office.
For non-enrolled students interested in joining, the participation fee is 5€ to be paid at the moment of registration (exact fee in cash).
Participants will receive further information the day before the visit.
