VIU students and faculty have the opportunity to buy a special 3-day pass for visiting the two venues of the Venice Biennale Exhibition. The 60th International Art Exhibition is titled Foreigners Everywhere and curated by Adriano Pedrosa.
The pass is issued in the framework of the Biennale Sessions agreement between VIU and La Biennale di Venezia. The cost of the pass is 20 euros per person and it allows entrance for 3 days (even on non-consecutive days) to the Giardini and Arsenale venues.
The cost of the pass will be sponsored by VIU for the students of the courses S2401 History of Venice, S2410 Global Governance, S2418 Anti-colonial metropolises since the visit to the Biennale is a co-curricular activity of their course (see below).
All VIU students and faculty can buy a pass, by just signing the list at the Front Office and bringing the ticket amount by April 17.
The pass is nominal and will be available to pick up at the Front Office at the beginning of May.
Two guided visits are organized on Friday, May 3, at 1.30 pm, as a compulsory co-curricular activity for the courses mentioned above. Students of the S2401 History of Venice course will visit the Giardini venue, while the students from S2410 Global Governance and S2418 Anti-colonial metropolises will visit Arsenale.
The students are asked to sign the lists at the Front Office by April 17 to confirm their participation. Those who do not confirm their participation in time will still receive their pass but will not be accepted at the visit.
A few places may be available for other students and professors, who are invited to list their names at the Front Office.
N.B. The tickets are nominal. Please remember to bring your ID/Passport during the visit otherwise you may be denied access to the Biennale at the ID check.
