The 1|18 cycle of VIULECTURES will host on Friday, March 2, 2018 Christine Graeff, Director General of Communications at the European Central Bank since 2013, who will discuss on the challenge of communicating central bank policy and on how communication can be used to improve understanding and trust amongst the public.
Christine Graeff started her career as an investment banker in a renowned Corporate Finance team in the UK, after graduating from the European Partnership of Business Schools.
Before her move to the public sector, Christine worked from 2001 to 2012 for a strategic communications firm, Brunswick, where, as founding partner, she established and developed the Group’s German business.
In addition to her actual role at the ECB, she is also in charge of the communications strategy for the Single Supervisory Mechanism, the new European banking supervisor.
Christine serves on the Board of TalentNomics, a non-profit organization supporting and empowering women in leadership, as well as on the board of trustees of the Frankfurt opera and on the advisory board of the Global Teacher Prize. She is a member of the World Economic Forum of Young Global Leaders, Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche and Generation CEO, and supports various other communications networks and initiatives.
