Each semester scholarships are awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester, to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.
Among the students enrolled in the 1st Semester 2023-24 of the Globalization Program, three were selected as RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) Scholars:
Clara Löffler, MA student in Sociology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany
Shir Gal, BA student in Art History and Education (double major) at Tel Aviv University, Israel
Cinthia Lopes Henriques, MA student in Digital Humanities at University of Lausanne, Switzerland
The RED scholars are expected to actively contribute in promoting and organizing co-curricular activities such as the Tea2B, weekly informal conversations taking place at VIU on key topics that involve students, professors and staff.
They also participate in the Globalization Program Plenary Workshop.
Their role is mainly in the editorial team, under the guidance of Professor Pes, to document the activities of the Workshop and produce follow up materials to be published on the VIU website and magazine.
