Each semester scholarships are awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester, to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.
Among the students enrolled in the 2nd Semester 2023-24 of the Globalization Program, three were selected as RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) Scholars:
Sofia Lavrova, PhD student in Theory and History of Art and Culture at European University at St. Petersburg, Russia
Theo Clement Hughes, BA student in History with Study Abroad at University of Exeter, United Kingdom
Youfu Kao, BA student in Environmental Engineering at Tsinghua University, China
The RED scholars are expected to actively contribute in promoting and organizing co-curricular activities such as the Tea2B, weekly informal conversations taking place at VIU on key topics that involve students, professors and staff.
They also participate in this semester's Globalization Program Plenary Workshop on Paradoxes.

Students can apply after completing pre-registration using the link available in a white box on the side of all the pages of the Globalization Program of the VIU website.
