Each semester scholarships are awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester, to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.

Among the students enrolled in the 2nd Semester 2024-25 of the Globalization Program, three were selected as RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) Scholars:

Chun Perng Chong, Bachelor student in Environmental Engineering at Tsinghua University
Ekaterina Litvinenko, BSc student in Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany
Evgenii Shkliar, MA student in Philosophy at European University at St. Petersburg, Russia

The RED scholars are expected to actively contribute to promoting and organizing co-curricular activities such as the Tea2B, weekly informal conversations taking place at VIU on key topics that involve students, professors, and staff.
They also participate in this semester's Globalization Program Plenary Workshop.
