Each semester scholarships are awarded to talented students to contribute to the cost of living in Venice for a semester, to promote excellence and diversity in the Globalization Program.

Among the students enrolled in the 2nd Semester 2025-26 of the Globalization Program, three were selected as RED (Residency-Excellence-Diversity) scholarship recepients:

Nicholas Parkinson, Bachelor student of History and Ancient History at University of Exeter
Ning Zhou, Master student of Environmental Arts at Waseda University
Ita Sennenschein, Bachelor student of Liberal Arts and Philosophy at Tel Aviv University

The RED scholars are expected to actively contribute to promoting and organizing co-curricular activities such as the Tea2B and Plenary Workshop.

The Tea2B are weekly informal conversations taking place at VIU on key topics that involve students, professors, and staff.

The Plenary Workshop is a key VIU event in which professors and students of the Globalization Program explore and discuss a chosen theme.
